New Face Mask Protocol 5-11-2023
With the latest guidance update from the CDC, we have decided to discontinue our mask requirement. This will be effective immediately. Wearing or not wearing a mask will now be a choice based on your personal preference and we hope influenced by your recent activities. For instance, you may choose to wear a mask for a short time if you’ve been around a large crowd indoors, traveled out of the country or are feeling ill.
Per CDC regulations in healthcare settings, masks still must be worn by individuals if:
- They’ve had close contact or a higher-risk exposure with someone with SARS-CoV-2 infection. These individuals must wear a mask for 10 days after their exposure.
Per CDC regulations, masking is required more broadly if:
- There’s an outbreak of SARS-CoV-2 or any other respiratory infection such as Influenza or RSV in our facility. In this case, masking would be required by all individuals entering Heritage of Edina until no new cases of the infection have been identified for 14 days.
- High levels of community transmission of SARS-CoV-2 or other respiratory virus.
- Hospital admission levels are high and public health officials recommend masking.
Thank you everyone for helping keep our resident’s safe and healthy!
